Volunteers from the Affton Community Betterment Association came out in April to clean the tree wells along Gravois Road from Frankfort to Hummelsheim. The volunteers, accompanied by employees from St. Louis County Parks Department and Highways and Traffic, cleaned out debris and litter from the tree wells. They also trimmed, pruned, removed and rearranged trees, bushes and other plantings in the tree wells then mulched all of the wells. The ACBA plans to do the clean-ups twice yearly, spring and fall.
